Mastering CG and DEEP Compositing with Live-Action using Foundry's Nuke
This workshop will teach you how to use DEEP CG renders to make a photorealist composite matching a live-action plate. We will start by exporting the footage to Nuke, setting up an ACES workflow for color management and conforming the plates using Nuke Studio. Then we will jump into NukeX and composite the CG from Redshift to the live-action plate. We’ll go over the Bokeh node to match the Depth of Field according to the sensor size and F-Stop from the camera’s onset data. We will then match Motion Blur, create realistic blooms, and apply lens distortion and additional lens artefacts to make the footage and CG match. We will also talk about the Unreal to Nuke bridge showing how to set up AOVs from Unreal inside Nuke and go over some of the Machine Learning tools used in the composite. There will be several giveaways including my Nuke Course and a one-year Nuke Studio subscription. If you want to learn how to composite live-action and CG don’t miss out!
