Unreal Introduction into the World of Real-Time Animation
In this workshop, we will be exploring the fascinating world of the computer animation pipeline using Unreal Engine 5. From the initial idea and pre-production to the final post-production, you will see how easy it is to go in real-time through the various steps involved in the process of creating a moving image, including modelling, texturing, and animation while learning new techniques at the same time. The main focus of the class will be aspects of computer animation production, especially various animation techniques, such as skeletal animation, geometry cache for simulations, and procedural animation. By using an example of an animation inspired by a Pixar logo the audience will learn how quickly the animation can be created in an interactive way without having to wait for hours for the final render. By the end of the session participants are expected to create a short animated bump.
