Deep Diving Into the World of the Creative Software Dreams
Martin Nebelong is among the world's most experienced and knowledgeable Dreams creators. Having done work in Dreams not only for his own enjoyment but for a variety of clients like The UN, Noah Cyrus, Rovio, Runway, Sony, Media Molecule, for a feature film currently in development, and many others, Martin has managed to prove that 3d software doesn’t have to require expensive hardware or a mouse and keyboard for that matter, as Dreams is running on either a PlayStation 4 or 5 and is controlled with a standard game controller or with Move Controllers (6DOF). It doesn’t have to involve polygons either, for that matter, as Dreams is based on a tech called SDFs or Signed Distance Fields. In the workshop, Martin goes into more detail about why he thinks Dreams is the most visionary 3D tool ever created, and he shares some of his best tips on how to get started with Dreams and how to use Dreams for actual client work. He shares the pros and cons of using Dreams and gives practical examples of both personal work and client work where he used Dreams as a primary tool.
