HEXED

Yvett Merino is a producer at Walt Disney Animation Studios, where she is currently producing Hexed, an original animated fantasy comedy directed by Fawn Veerasunthorn and Jason Hand, set for release in November 2026. Merino is best known as a producer of Disney's Encanto, for which she won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature alongside Jared Bush, Byron Howard, and Clark Spencer. Encanto was her first film credited as main producer, having joined the project roughly two years into its development as it transitioned into production.

Merino grew up in Norwalk, California, and studied sociology at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Beyond her production work, she founded an employee resource group at Disney called Voces (Voices). Her recent slate at Walt Disney Animation Studios also includes producing duties on Hexed, working alongside fellow producer Roy Conli.
