Trollhunters: Birth of the Premium Animated Series

Rodrigo Blaas is an EMMY award wining director that has worked in animation for more than 20 years. A self-taught animator, he developed his passion for animation in Granada, Spain.

Most recently, Rodrigo has joined Mikros Animation based in Paris and Montreal as a Creative Director.

In 2014, he partnered with Guillermo del Toro as a Showrunner and Executive Producer of the EMMY AWARD wining hit Netflix TV series, Trollhunters (2016). The show won 6 EMMY awards in it´s first season and 3 Annie Awards.

Prio to that, Rodrigo worked at Pixar as an Animator in films such as Finding Nemo (2003), The Incredibles (2004), Ratatouille (2007) and Wall-E (2008) and as a supervising animator on the academy award nominated short film La Luna (2011).

Rodrigo took some time off from his work at Pixar to debut as a director with his first independent short film, Alma. The short film premiered at the LA Short Film Fest, where it won Best in Show.
