VFX Co-Supervisor, Project Hail Mary
Mag Sarnowska is an emerging Visual Effects Supervisor with over two decades of experience in compositing. Mag's insight into the creative process forms the foundation of her work as a VFX Supervisor. Her career spans high-profile productions across the globe, showcasing her ability to adapt to diverse creative visions and technical challenges.
Mag transitioned into on-set roles in 2019, leading to increased involvement in production-side VFX Supervision. This shift enabled her to collaborate closely with directors, cinematographers, and production teams, ensuring that visual effects were seamlessly integrated into each project from its earliest stages. Her creative approach and collaborative mindset have made her a trusted partner for filmmakers who appreciate ambitious visual concepts.
She recently spent two years as Co-VFX supervisor on PROJECT HAIL MARY (Dir. Phil Lord & Chris Miller), contributing to the film's development throughout pre-production, shoot, and post-production. Her creative vision helped bring multiple sequences to life, as she worked closely with Phil and Chris to align the film's visual style with their storytelling.
Prior to that, she held similar responsibilities on KRAVEN THE HUNTER (Dir. J.C. Chandor) and supervised a small team for the TV series The Stand (Vertigo Entertainment). She is currently working on the third installment of the DUNE (Dir. Denis Villeneuve) trilogy.
