Kimberly Aller
VFX Production Supervisor, Weta
Kimberly Aller is Weta Digital’s LA-based Visual Effects Production Supervisor on the Avatar sequels. As Weta’s production representative embedded with Lightstorm Entertainment, she ensures that Weta’s on-the-ground team of lighters, animators, software developers, and motion capture and stage technical directors can fulfil the project’s creative and logistical goals.
Kim was a VFX Production Manager for Rampage on location in Atlanta, where she worked closely with the client during preproduction and production to incorporate virtual production workflows and techniques into the first and second-unit shoots. Having joined Weta Digital in 2016 as a VFX Coordinator, Kim was focused on onset production across Alita: Battle Angel, Avengers: Infinity War, War for the Planet of the Apes and Valerian.
Kim’s previous roles include working as a VFX Coordinator on Steven Spielberg’s The BFG while at Amblin Partners. A highlight from her six years with 20th Century Fox was formative experience on Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, which involved her in this film’s groundbreaking combination of old-school and innovative location-based techniques.
