Juan Carlos De Martin is a professor the Polytechnic of Turin where he teaches computer science and digital culture and co-directs, with Marco Ricolfi, the Nexa Center for Internet & Society. Since 2011 De Martin has been affiliated with the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University. In 2019 he conceived and curated the first Festival of Technology and Society (now Biennale Tecnologia). In 2017 De Martin published a book on the future of University, "Università Futura - Tra Democrazia e Bit" (Codice Edizioni, 2017). Juan Carlos De Martin also serves as member of the Scientific Board of the Institute of the Italian Encyclopedia Treccani.
