Jan Maroske joined Industrial Light & Magic in 2016 as a Compositing Supervisor on Ready Player One. He has since been filling that role on Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Birdbox, and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, among others.

Currently, Maroske serves as ILM Associate Visual Effects Supervisor on Avatar: The Way of Water. Previously, he served in his first supervisory role as Associate Visual Effects Supervisor on Jurassic World Dominion.

Prior to his time at ILM, Maroske worked as a Compositor and Compositing Supervisor on various feature films including Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, and Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation.

Originally from Hamburg, Germany, Maroske currently resides in the United Kingdom. As an Associate Visual Effects Supervisor at ILM London, he works closely with the Visual Effects Supervisor, managing and overseeing the whole body of a show.

Maroske is an active member of the Visual Effects Society. He won a VES award for Outstanding Achievement in Compositing for his work on Inception in 2011.
