Holly Edwards
President, Skydance Animation
Holly Edwards is President of Skydance Animation, where she oversees the studio’s global teams and slate of original animated feature films and television series. Under her leadership, the studio has emerged as a major force in animation with releases including Luck, WondLa, and Spellbound. The studio's latest feature, Swapped, debuted at #1 globally and became the biggest animated film launch in Netflix history, delivering the platform’s highest weekly viewership for an animated title. Skydance Animation will next release the highly anticipated Ray Gunn from two-time Academy Award winner Brad Bird later this year.
A veteran animation executive and producer with more than 30 years of experience, Holly joined DreamWorks Animation in 2002, where she held both production and executive leadership roles across the studio’s international operations. During her tenure, she helped oversee some of the studio’s most successful animated franchises, including Kung Fu Panda, How to Train Your Dragon, Madagascar, and Monsters vs Aliens. Her production credits span co-producer on Trolls; unit producer on Penguins of Madagascar; and associate producer on Mr. Peabody and Sherman, Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted, and Megamind.
Prior to joining the DreamWorks Animation team, Holly produced animated and live-action projects for television and digital platforms as the studio producer for Curious Pictures West and as a producer for Wild Brain and Colossal Pictures.
Holly is a member of the Producers Guild of America, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, ASIFA-Hollywood, and Women in Animation. She holds a BA in Media Communications from Webster University.
