Gretchen Libby is the Director of Visual Computing, GTM at AWS. She joined AWS in 2020 after spending 24 years at Industrial Light & Magic, a division of Lucasfilm. She held various positions in Production throughout her career, contributing to blockbuster films including Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, Iron Man, Transformers, Avatar, Jurassic World, Ready Player One, The Revenant, and The Irishman. As VP of Global Production, she drove ILM’s global expansion into Vancouver, London, and Sydney, and also built ILM’s global network of visual effects partner companies in North America, Europe, and Asia. Her relationships with top filmmakers and studio executives was key to ILM’s success.
Gretchen studied liberal arts at Boston College and holds a B.A. in Communications. She resides in Marin County in the San Francisco Bay Area.
