Giorgio Ghisolfi
Animator, Director, Media sociologist, Author
Film director and production manager specialized in animation. He has a degree in Communication Studies and also a longtime experience as a freelance animator and storyboard artist. He studied filmmaking at the Ipotesi Cinema film school led by Ermanno Olmi, and has often worked with the protagonists of Italian animation. He has animated and directed several shorts, commercials, and two independent live-action medium-lenght films. In 2009 he founded A-tube, the Global Animation Film Festival. He's teaching animation and sociology of communications in universities and private academies since many years. He has published the essay Indiana Jones e il cinema d'animazione (2011) and the monographs Star Wars. L'Epoca Lucas (2017), Superman&Co (2018), I Mondi di Star Wars (2019) all by Mimesis Edizioni, Milan.
