Giacomo Mineo is a VFX Supervisor at DNEG with over twenty years of industry experience. He began his visual effects career as a Flame and Smoke Artist for commercials in Milan, before transitioning to focus primarily on films. In 2011, he made the decision to move from Italy to London and joined MPC as a Compositing Supervisor, working on a number of big franchises including ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’ and ‘Terminator Genisys’. Giacomo joined DNEG in 2016 and, in 2020, served as on-set VFX Supervisor for Alex Garland’s series Devs, for which he received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Supporting Role. His impressive franchise credits also include ‘Mission: Impossible - Fallout’ and ‘Avengers: Infinity War’. Most recently, Giacomo was VFX Supervisor on Christopher Nolan’s highly acclaimed film ‘Oppenheimer’.
