Art of Balancing in Young Woman & the Sea: How Technique, Creativity, & Flexibility Shape Success

Francesco Pepe is Chief Operating Officer and VFX Supervisor at EDI Effetti Digitali Italiani. Prior to joining EDI he worked as a Graphic Designer and 3D Artist. At the turn of 2001-2002 he joined EDI in the role of VFX artist. In 2008 he had an experience in Australia, where he participated as Matte Painter in the post production of Baz Luhrmann's film “Australia.” After returning to Italy in 2009, he re-joined EDI where he continued his career in visual effects being responsible as VFX Supervisor for commercials, films and TV Shows. Among the most recent titles he has supervised: Young Woman and the Sea (Disney 2024), Supersex (Groenlandia, The Apartment 2024), Casanova’s Return (Indiana Production, Rai Cinema, 3 Marys Entertainment, EDI - Effetti Digitali Italiani, BA.BE Productions 2023), The Law according to Lidia Poët (Groenlandia 2023), Romulus (Sky, Groenlandia 2020-2022).
