
Fiona Walkinshaw

Fiona Walkinshaw is CEO of Film & Episodic at Framestore, a role that recognises over two decades of dedicated leadership and creative vision at one of the world’s foremost visual effects studios. Fiona has been instrumental in scaling the company’s film and episodic division from just three people into a global powerhouse. Today, the division spans four studios across four continents and employs over 3,000 artists and producers who deliver visual storytelling for more than 20 major productions each year.
With a background as a VFX producer, Fiona has worked on numerous Emmy Award-winning projects. In 2002, she took on the role of Director of VFX, overseeing Framestore’s expansion into large-scale feature work, beginning with Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Her reputation for excellence was cemented as Executive Producer on Gravity, which went on to win the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects.
Under her leadership, Framestore’s Film & Episodic division has garnered three Academy Awards, multiple BAFTAs, and an array of Emmy and VES accolades — a testament to her relentless drive for creative and technical excellence.
Today, Fiona focuses on long-term strategy, business development, and maintaining the studio’s competitive edge in a rapidly evolving industry.
