Charmaine Chan
Associate Visual Effects Supervisor, ILM London
With over 16 years of experience, Charmaine Chan is an Associate Visual Effects Supervisor at ILM and a key contributor to ILM’s virtual production toolset, StageCraft. Recently, Chan served as an ILM VFX Supervisor on Gareth Edwards’ feature The Creator and is now supervising on the Star Wars series, The Acolyte.
Prior, Chan served as Compositing and Virtual Production Supervisor on the Emmy-nominated Star Wars series, Andor. Currently based out of the ILM London office, Chan has helped shape both the virtual production and episodic divisions. She was part of the original ILM StageCraft “Brain Bar” team for the first season of the Emmy Award-winning series, The Mandalorian, where she helped innovate real-time rendering on the StageCraft platform. She has continued to help develop and progress StageCraft on other projects such as Oscar-nominated Matt Reeves’ The Batman.
Chan has also tackled theme park rides and experiences such as Soarin’ Around the World at Disneyland and The Race Through New York at Universal Studios.
