
Alessandro Ceglia
Head of 3D Animation, Buck
Alessandro Ceglia is an animation director based in Los Angeles, California, with broad experience in feature films, commercials, music videos, and interactive content. He graduated from Dartmouth College with a B.A. in Art History and Asian Studies and holds an M.F.A. from USC's School of Cinematic Arts in Animation and Digital Art.Alessandro currently works at Buck Design, where he serves as the Head of the 3D Animation Department. He has directed animation on some of the studio's most famous and award-winning projects, including “Seed Matters” (Cliff Bar Family Foundation), “Invention of Together” (Tinder), “Share Your Gifts” (Apple) and, most recently, Episode 9 of “We the People” (Netflix). He also helped develop various interactive projects for Google, including their virtual reality “Daydream” intro, and their augmented reality “AR Stickers”.Prior to joining Buck, Alessandro worked as a previs artist at Dreamworks Animation (“How to Train Your Dragon 2”, “Kung Fu Panda 3”, “Madagascar 3”, “Turbo”, “Dragons: Gift of the Night Fury”) and as a freelance 2D and 3D animator for television commercials and music videos. He has taught animation and digital tools at Loyola Marymount University and 3D animation at USC's School of Cinematic Arts.
