As a character modeler, there’s nothing more exciting (and daunting) than receiving a pile of loose sketches and being told to create a single 3d concept sculpt. Join character artist Jason Bickerstaff as he explores the process of interpreting 2d artwork to create characters that feel authentic to the design in three dimensions. He’ll draw from over two decades of experience as a character modeler and concept sculptor at Pixar, using examples from past shows as well as new independent projects in development to show how he brings concept drawings to life.
