The Art and Animation of The LEGO Batman Movie
Batman has been in the public's consciousness since the release of Detective Comics #27 in 1939. Over the past 78 years, his form has evolved, and his rogue's gallery has grown. In 2014, Batman had a supporting role in The LEGO Movie, and it immediately became apparent that he needed to star in his own LEGO movie.
Animal Logic's Head of Animation, Rob Coleman, will take the audience on a behind-the-scenes look at the art development and production design of LEGO Gotham City and its many citizens; focussing in detail on the LEGO Batcave. Inspired by Batman's abundant history, Rob will then highlight how his team of animators brought the Caped Crusader to life in LEGO.
