Robert Konuch is a Visual Effects Supervisor, Producer, and DGA member with a career built from the ground up - literally. He started in the film industry as a carpenter building sets for episodic TV and commercials, moved into practical and mechanical effects, then miniatures, before transitioning to digital compositing as the industry went digital. That path through nearly every department gave him a supervisor's instinct that spans set, cutting room, and post.
He currently works as VFX Supervisor on One Piece (Netflix), and has worked as 2nd Unit VFX Supervisor on major studio productions, including Marvel projects, alongside credits spanning television series, feature films, and commercials. Over 25 years, his throughline has been using After Effects not as a fallback tool, but as a deliberate choice - for shot design, proof of concept, and getting creative direction locked before a full VFX pipeline ever spins up.
