Throughout his career, Oscar winner Michael McCusker, ACE, has cut movies in most every genre. From his first film, the Johnny Cash biopic Walk The Line (Oscar nominated) to the high-octane racing drama Ford v Ferrari (BAFTA and Academy Award winner).
His body of work includes franchise action films, The Wolverine, Amazing Spider-Man, Logan and Deadpool 2 from the Marvel Universe, adventure, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny; thriller The Girl on the Train, a musical The Greatest Showman, a western 3:10 to Yuma; and the epic drama Australia. He began his editing career as an assistant editor on 1996 sci-fi classic Independence Day.
He has worked with director James Mangold for more than 20 years, and has also collaborated with multiple directors including Tate Taylor, Michael Gracey, Michael Bay, Angel Manuel Soto and Baz Luhrmann.
Mike is also committed to education, having been a guest speaker at film schools including American Film Institute, Chapman University's Dodge College of Film & Media Arts, and his Alma Mater, Emerson College; as well as industry events ranging from American Cinema Editors' EditFest to the NAB Show.
