Larry Detwiler is a Visual Effects Supervisor, Producer, and Director with more than 30 years of experience creating visuals for film and television. His credits include Netflix’s Outer Banks and The OA, and CBS’s Scorpion and the CSI franchise.
Over his career, Larry has supervised thousands of shots on numerous high-end projects, led production-side teams and vendors globally through complex visual effects pipelines from concept to final delivery. Today, he is exploring how generative AI can be integrated into established VFX workflows, taking full advantage of emerging technology while enhancing the established craft of visual storytelling.
Larry is a California native, working and living in the Los Angeles area with his wife, children and many animals.
