Kendra Ruczak is a magazine editor, writer, and film producer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She specializes in film and television production coverage with an emphasis on animation and visual effects.

After graduating from UCLA, Kendra joined the staff of Sound & Picture magazine. She served as the publication’s Associate Editor and Managing Editor for ten years. In 2022, she took on the role of Managing Editor at CGW (Computer Graphics World) magazine and became a contributing writer at Post magazine.

She has presented at the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) and has moderated a variety of filmmaking panels for Apple TV+, the Behind the Slate Screening Series, Mix Sound for Film & TV, and the Los Angeles Post Production Group (LAPPG).

Kendra and her husband, Danial Smith, are the co-owners of Ravensview Films, an independent film production company. When they're not behind the camera, they enjoy hiking and watching movies with their two adorable cats.
