From Glasgow to Global

Richard began his career working in the graphic design industry. After spells in photo retouching and visualisation, he expanded his skills to encompass the world of digital animation and spent five years as a lead CG artist working in commercials, broadcast and interactive entertainment. Richard founded Axis in 2000 in partnership with his colleagues Dana, Stuart and Graham. He employs his considerable client-facing skills and industry knowledge as CEO. Richard is responsible for defining strategy and direction and for the development of relationships with clients and production partners across Axis Studios. Richard is a former board member of Creative Scotland and founder of the Animation Scotland industry body.
