Jonathan Nolan is a British-American screenwriter, director, and producer known for his work in both television and film. Born on June 6, 1976, in London, England, Jonathan is the younger brother of acclaimed filmmaker Christopher Nolan. He is a graduate of Georgetown University, where he studied English.
Jonathan first gained widespread recognition for his collaboration with his brother on the critically acclaimed film “Memento” (2000). The screenplay for the movie was based on Jonathan’s short story “Memento Mori.” This collaboration marked the beginning of a highly successful partnership between the Nolan brothers.
In addition to “Memento,” Jonathan Nolan co-wrote the screenplays for several other major films directed by his brother, including “The Prestige” (2006), “The Dark Knight” (2008), “The Dark Knight Rises” (2012), and “Interstellar” (2014).
