Climate Change and Storytelling
Climate change is one of the most complex and pressing issues of our time. Using visual effects and artistry, environmental impacts of climate change can be highlighted, and solutions can be explored. Join us for a fascinating conversation about how visual artists in animation, film, and gaming have created compelling stories that address climate change and environmental issues. This panel will explore how artists have used the power of storytelling to share visions of possible, future worlds and of the effect of climate change in our current world, and even what a carbon neutral future might look like. The panel will also feature a NASA climate scientist who will discuss the important role of visual storytellers in bringing essential information and inspiration to the public.
