Visualization of the Story through the Iterative Process

Imagine if you could quickly build a set for a scene, puppeteer characters, then film your shots using your iPhone/iPad and edit them together all using real time rendering. We find the shots through a narrative as defined by a flow of the shots. Real time tools allow the iterative process to be used to discover the best way to tell a story. Boards jump and show intent, but do not communicate the camera. Habib will show how you can do this with the Unity real time engine. We will build sets and dress them using fast brush tools, light the set in HDRP, animate characters and vehicles using puppeteering, then film shots with the Unity Virtual Camera App. If you bring iPhones or iPads you can play along.

1st hour:
1- Assemble a scene quickly using some assets and brush tools.
2- Light the scene
3- Animate characters and vehicles, add VFX.

2nd hour:

4- Use the new Unity Virtual Camera iOS App to location scout, bookmark.
5- Shoot shots for a scene.
6- Edit select clips for a final piece.
