Compositing in Nuke VS Game Engine for linear VR experience

In the last 10 years, we have seen incredible advances in the tools we can use to create animated images. These tools, a combination of hardware and software, have not only upped the quality and variety of the images we can create, but they have also had an enormous impact on how we tell stories. Virtual Reality has made this very clear. While we are still figuring out the storytelling language for VR, the tools are evolving at an incredible rate. There are already multiple ways to create VR content, and they all have strengths, weaknesses and challenges. Finding the right technological match for the story you are creating is almost an art form in itself. This class is an attempt to explain the various approaches to creating VR stories. Using concrete examples, I will give tips on how to determine the best techniques, share some tricks we have learned at the NFB and give some indication as to what is coming down the pike.
