Avengers: Infinity War is the culmination of over a decades’ work by Marvel Studios, and the fourth Marvel film Weta Digital has been part of. Weta was responsible for the entire third act set on Planet Titan—the battleground for Thanos’s final showdown. Matt will present the technology and artistry that went into this incredibly VFX heavy sequence, including Thanos’s affecting performance; the complex and detailed range of FX work, and the expansive CG environment.
As a Visual Effects Supervisor, Matt has worked on some of the biggest films of the past two decades, including The Lord of the Rings trilogy and Avatar. Matt has been at Weta since the early days, joining around the time of Peter Jackson’s Heavenly Creatures, before the company was even officially formed.
