What's so funny about immersive storytelling? In 5 short years Google Spotlight Stories has released 16 shorts - doing immersive interactive storytelling in all forms of VR - and we still can't get it right! Each project is different, and our last three shows are no exception: Piggy an experimental view-driven comedy where the audience controls the timing, Back to the Moon the first ever VR Google Doodle celebrating cinema pioneer George Méliès, and Age of Sail a ground breaking sea drama aboard a 19th Century sailboat which premiered at the Venice Biennale to rave reviews. And yet, all three have something crucial in common.
