Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 - The making of a really colourful movie

Following the hugely successful Guardians of the Galaxy from Marvel Studios, Vol. 2 takes us to new planets, introduces us to new characters, reinterprets old friends and yes, uses an even more colourful palette. Overall VFX Supervisor Christopher Townsend will take us on a journey of exploration behind the scenes of one of this summer's biggest blockbusters.

Visual Effects Supervisor Christopher Townsend was the overall VFX Supervisor on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 for Writer/Director James Gunn. He was an artist and supervisor for over a decade at ILM, then went on to be a freelance supervisor on many films, including Journey to the Center of the Earth, Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief and Captain America: The First Avenger, which included the groundbreaking Skinny Steve transformation effects for the title character. He was nominated for an Academy Award for his work on Iron Man 3, and oversaw nearly 3000 shots on Avengers: Age of Ultron.
