“What is most personal is most universal.” – Carl Rogers

In the modern era of storytelling, there are so many different ways that a storyteller can communicate with the audience. From traditional movie theater experiences to interactive, mobile films we have an abundance of choice. But the format doesn’t matter, the medium doesn’t matter if we are unable to engage the audience with UNIVERSAL STORIES; stories that transcend language barriers, cultural differences, gender and age.

I will share my experiences as a storyteller and how I strive to inject my films with themes that are both personal and universal, including the very personal origins of KUBO AND THE TWO STRINGS.
