| Territorial
marketing with the new virtual media - how to take advantage
of latest generation technologies for territorial and projects
promotions.
New
interactive media, with ever-growing immersive performances,
are every day offered to the public, while many other are
under development. Public bodies and private companies are
exposed to new opportunities and products that often get large
coverage on the media; on the other hand, it is difficult
to get directions into this still 'esoteric' field of the
communications sector. This event will focus on this new emerging
field through presentations of real-world examples of products
already available or ready to be deployed. Specific attention
will be paid to 'how' these results have been achieved and
'what' potential customers could get by use of these technologies.
At the end of the conference attendees will have got a clear
idea of the most important and spectacular Italian experiences
in this particular sector and a new comprehension of the technologies
and data delivering this new services in the communications
field.
Luigi Gilli
Professor of logical circuits at Politecnico di Torino, has
a large understanding in the digital carthography sector thanks
to the development of many geo-based products.
Devlopment of software for PDAs for virtual exploration of
territorial data bases has given him a clear vision of the
digital carthograpy field and how it relates, sometimes with
probles, with the public bodies world.
Maurizio Turinetto
Founder in 2000 of 3DTech, a company for the development of
advanced graphical applications and tools, has worked on the
development of a 3D realtime engine and visual simulators.
From 2006 is project leader for the development of a next
generation map engine for new satellite navigators.
Robertino Auricchio
3D modeller, animator and software designer. Has created CG
short movies, special effects for movies and documentaries,
3D models of large urban areas with high level of detail.
He worked in the creation of a professional realtime 3D engine
and tools.
Gabriele Guidi
Associated Professor at Politecnico di Milano, he started
working in the imaging field where he started researchs in
the 1988. He published more than 90 papers on national and
international sources on 3D scanning techniques. He has created
models of famous Donatello statues like la Maddalena and the
bronze David.
Greg Howes
Professor, researcher working for years at the Metaverse project,
has introduced virtual technologies in many sectors. Works
and is in touch with many organizations of this sector like
Google Earth, Microsoft Virtual Earth, ESRI, Open Geospatial
Consortium and others. Promotes the usage of virtual reconstructions
in the architectural field and for the promotion of large
projects.
Lorenzo Bidone
Researcher, vice-president of Ultramundum Foundation. Has
created many products in the virtual reality and infotainment
field, with a large understanding of virtual universes.
He has created a geographical engine for the importing and
conversion in realtime
models of large carthography data bases.
Fulvio Dominici
President of Ultramundum foundation. The first Italian to
sell a videogame on the
international market, has extensive knoweledge in the 3D field
and in the creation and management of mono or multiuser virtual
interactive environments. He invented the UltraPeg technology
at the core of the Ultramundum project and has devised large
high-technology projects with public bodies and large companies. |
