Scenes that are impossible to create using normal filmmaking
approaches can be completed using ideas borrowed from fine
art.
Matte Painting and toon rendering are techniques
that are often overlooked in digital feature animation production
but provide tremendous contributions. Examples will be shown
from Ratatouille and Cars with the Technical
Director’s perspective in mind.
