Supinfocom
Marie Anne Fontenier
is born on May 12th, 1950 in Nancy, France. She graduated
from the National School of Fine Arts of Nancy, section Visual
Communication.
Her career begun in Montreal, Canada, as a Graphic Designer
in 1971. Maria Anne would have eventually covered the position
of teacher - researcher and responsible for the public image
of the UTC - University of Technology of Compiègne
(Design Section / Mechanical engineering department).
Since 1988 she is the Manager of Supinfocom (http://www.supinfocom.net/)
and, for the school, she creates the cycle of specialization
for "Digital film maker", she develops and implements
the Educational project, she recruits the Teaching staff and
she leads the campaign of promotion and communication.
Marie Anne Fontenier is also Expert with the European and
French institutions, having been on a mission in Riga –
Latvia for the EU and two missions for the “Carrefour
de l’image de l’Océan Indien” in
the Reunion Island plus a mission in Malaysia, Singapore and
Shangai in 2006.

goals of Supinfocom
A school where students learn how to create
digital content of excellency. Pedagogy, philosophy, software
and hardware environment.

Supinfocom was founded in 1988 on the initiative of the Valenciennes
Chamber of
Commerce and Industry. The institute is located in Valenciennes,
in northern France and it expanded in Arles, southern France,
in October 2000.
The pioneering daring French college Supinfocom is light years
ahead of many of its peers, producing burning fizzing visions
of other worlds. Its teaching methods mirror “real life”
industry set ups insofar as students work together in team
throughout projects, from concept and pre production through
to post production The aims of Supinfocom are:
To instil a passion for beautiful images and a taste for narration
and the creation of emotions.
To encourage the developments of new creative energy and teamwork.
To combine teaching and creation through the production of
fixed and animated
computer images presented to an outside panel of professionals
and at international festivals or competitions.
To pass on technical and artistic skills and experience, constantly
combining learning and research.
To be able to adapt to technological developments, explore
new paths and experiment with innovative teaching methods.
As a direct link to the professional world, to train high-level
computer graphics and
digital directors, capable of understanding these disciplines
and using them in a wide range of applications.
Marie-Anne Fontenier will present a programme of films and
will talk about the school specific teaching method, teamwork,
artistic approach, 3D animation and methodology of production
of these short films.
