| Franz Fishnaller studied
Art and Design in Germany, Italy, and United States. He is
the founder of F.A.B.R.I.CATORS, an interdisciplinary
group concerned with the integration of Art, Design, Technology,
and Communication.
Professor of the School of Art and Design,
University of Illinois at Chicago and associated faculty member
of EVL, Electronic Visualization Lab, Chicago,
USA, Franz Fishnaller explores, juxtaposes and integrates
new media tools, technology, art and design with innovative
concepts, personal aesthetic, and a keen awareness of maintaining
equilibrium between creativity, fantasy, technology, efficiency
and human interaction.
He authored works as Multi Mega Book in the Cave; Lautriv
Chromagnon Medusa; L'Ultima Cena Interattiva; Interactive
Cyber Necktie; Renaissance Interactive Painting; Robots avatars
dreaming with virtual illusions; Ne'ms City; Tracking the
Net; Kali the Goddess of the Millenium; Citycluster: dal Rinascimento
all Era-dei-Megabyte-in-rete.
On 1997, his Multi Mega Book in the Cave was awarded the Multimedia
Grand Prix (Japan).
