| Born in the UK in
1976, Andrew Daffy runs The House of Curves, a new animation
studio and school in London. Through the studio, he's working
on a photoreal human character Swivel Head Ted, as
well as collaborating on a shark race project with fellow
speaker Tino Schaedler. His school offers 'bespoke tutoring'
a new process of training with an emphasis on teaching practical
and real world techniques. After 8 months of intensive training
at C.D.I.S. Vancouver, Daffy started working at Framestore
CFC as a Junior Animator in 1996. After earning the position
as Head of 3D Commercials just a few years after joining the
company, he worked on projects such as Johnnie Walker 'Fish',
BBC's 'Walking With Dinosaurs' and two James Bond title sequences.
These projects accumulated over 30 awards. His latest freelancing
project is animating the seahorses and lionfish in the new
Chemical Brothers video - The Salmon Dance.

CGI Supervisor and Maya Master Andrew Daffy
talks about how to take control of the potentially complex
world of CGI. Using various examples of his freelance work,
as well as the first images to come out of THE HOUSE OF CURVES,
his new animation Studio and School, Daffy will illustrate
simple techniques that he has adopted in order to achieve
high quality CGI exact to client specification.
