Social Network for Virtual Worlds

Virtual worlds are the new frontiers of internet entertainment. Each day millions of people join these spaces to express themselves, create new identities, live meaningful experiences.
Virtual Worlds are exciting places where users can create their own social network and express themselves, often contributing to the build up of their own metaverses.
These two last elements, social experiences and creativity, are the most important, cause it is well accepted that also web based social networks are created to reinforce the social connections and to encourage the users creativity.
The talk is about the state of the art in this connection between social networking and virtual worlds and it point out to our own project Koinup, as a web 2.0 project that encourage virtual netizens from different virtual worlds to meet each others, share their ideas and creations.
